Two possible opponents John Cena could fight at WrestleMania 36

Some time ago a report claimed that John Cena would like to do something substantial at WrestleMania 36. The report came as a welcome news for all John Cena fans as the 16-time WWE Champion has always been a part of the event since WrestleMania 19. It is highly likely that he might not miss this one too.

Going by the assumption that the above-mentioned report of John Cena returning at WrestleMania 36 is true, he would need to do something noteworthy and get into a feud with someone, between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. However, experts feel that his Hollywood projects might prevent him from doing something major ahead of WrestleMania. So it would need to be short and simple. Keeping that in mind, below are a couple of potential opponents that John Cena could fight in WrestleMania 36:

Goldberg and John Cena have had several common opponents which they fought over the years, including Batista, The Rock, Randy Orton, Triple H and even The Undertaker. While they have plenty in common in that regard, both have never been at the opposite ends of one another inside a wrestling ring.

Both Goldberg and Cena are considered powerhouse wrestlers capable of going against the best in the industry. Many think that Cena has more versatility amongst the two, despite some fans being skeptical about his limited moves. Goldberg on the other hand has stuck with the same style over the years and it won’t make a lot of sense for him to alter anything now. Although there are more contenders who could fight John Cena, nothing compares to the type of reception that a Goldberg vs John Cena match might receive.

Randy Orton

The first question that might come into the minds of many WWE fans is that would they like to see a match they have witnessed multiple times before? Well, it depends. The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin managed to pull it off time and again. However, that doesn’t imply that it will be the same when it comes to these two.

Randy Orton was found engaging in his normal tomfoolery on social media portals recently, making Instagram posts that he’d love to go up against John Cena at WrestleMania 36. That could be a possibility. Anything is possible between now and the start of WrestleMania 36. Randy Orton has made a name for himself as the “Legend Killer” and what better legend to go after than John Cena. On the whole, it would make for excellent entertainment when these to battle it out once again, that too on the biggest WWE stage!
